Shawn Smith

Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer

Shawn joined Nice-Pak in 2009, and is responsible for the company’s legal affairs, corporate and regulatory compliance, and risk management. 

Before joining Nice-Pak, Shawn served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Del Laboratories, Inc., a leading manufacturer of cosmetics and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, she owned her own consulting company, and was in-house counsel to Data Switch Corporation. She began her career as a corporate associate at Robinson & Cole. She is the co-author of The HR Answer Book: An Indispensable Guide for Mangers and Human Resources Professionals published by the American Management Association.

Shawn received her JD from New York University School of Law and her BA from Amherst College. She is active in animal rescue and is on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of Westchester.
